third boat payment.

Dough is the Canadian payments company for owners who want more from their payment processor. We'll show you line by line what you're actually paying, cut it or wipe it out entirely. And if we can't beat your current rate, we hand you $500 cash for wasting your time.

Free website, free social posts, free Google review program. Included, not upsold.

We cover your current processor's cancellation fee, up to $300

Next business day deposits and 24/7 support — you call, a human answers

See what you're actually paying.

Takes 60 seconds. We'll send back a plain-English breakdown of your current fees and what they'd look like with Dough. No obligation, no pressure, no games.

We only use this to build your comparison. No spam, no list selling, no army of reps calling you. Ever.

Three things your processing rep told you that weren't true.

Not "spin." Not "sales pressure." Flat out not true. Here's how it works, from someone who spent thirteen years inside it.

01

The rate I quoted you is the rate you'll pay.

That teaser rate applies to one card type on a good day. Then the statement fills up with non-qualified downgrades, assessments, monthly minimums, batch fees, PCI non-compliance charges and a “network access” line nobody can explain. Six months in you're paying double what you signed for — and the rep who sold you is long gone.

02

Processing is just processing. There's nothing else to compare.

Most processors compete on a rate, hand you a terminal, and disappear until renewal time. But you're sending them thousands of dollars over the life of the account. The better question is: what are you getting back? Dough reinvests into clients with websites, social content, Google review tools and hands-on support — because your processor should help the business, not just bill it.

03

We're direct, so we're cheaper.

Everyone in this business is somewhere in the middle. It changes nothing about your bill. The only number that matters is your effective rate: total fees divided by total volume, every month. Most owners have never calculated it. It's sitting on page one of your statement and it takes ten seconds.

If you're sick of the payment processing industry, you deserve the chance to see this.

We take less and

give you more

We use part of our revenue from processing to put useful tools and

marketing back into your business

PROCESSING

Lower-cost payment processing

Interchange-plus, dual pricing, surcharging or another setup that fits the business. We show you the options using your real numbers.

Plain-English fee review

Flexible pricing structures

No pretending one model fits everyone

HARDWARE

Terminal options that fit your business

Free, rental, purchase and lease to own options can all make sense depending on the setup. We help you choose based on total economics, not a sales script.

WEBSITES

SOCIAL

Done-for-you social content

Useful posts that keep the business active online instead of another empty Facebook page that hasn't moved since 2022.

WEBSITES

Google review cards

Simple tap cards that make it easier for happy customers to leave a review while the great experience is still fresh.

WEBSITES

Real people when something breaks

Payments are boring until the terminal stops working. Then response time matters more than a glossy brochure.

The idea is simple:

If you're paying us every month, we should keep finding ways to grow your business.

What could the difference look like?

Move the sliders to estimate what your business is spending today and what two common Dough structures could save you.

This is a simple estimate, not a quote. Actual pricing depends on card mix, business type, volume and program eligibility.

$50,000
$0 $100K

1.5% 4.5%
Estimated fees today $1,250/mo
INTERCHANGE PLUS ESTIMATE
$313/mo
Estimated monthly savings
$3,750/year

Model assumes Dough reduces your current processing cost by approximately 25%.

SURCHARGE / DUAL PRICING ESTIMATE
$1,190/mo
Estimated monthly savings
$14,280/year

Model assumes approximately $60/month in total merchant fees. Program eligibility and card-brand rules apply.

Our merchants get to pick the terminal they want more.

Three terminals that cover 95% of businesses. If you need more, we have it. Just ask :)

Best value on the lineup

Free terminal programs require $25K+ per month in card volume or an eligible dual pricing / surcharge program. Not there yet? We'll tell you honestly which one costs you less over four years, even when it's the one we make less profit on.

You can text, call or email the owner

“I spent years in a sales office pitching one of the big processors door to door. I watched exactly how the sausage gets made. Dough is the company I wished I'd been able to sell for.”

I'm Zachary. I started Dough out of Hamilton, Ontario after thirteen years in payments — long enough to know every trick in the book, because at one point I was handed the script for most of them.

I got started in the payment processing industry when I seen Moneris overcharging my Dad's Auto Repair Shop by 46%

46% more that he could have spent growing his business. Providing for his family. Hiring more people from the community.

Nope. It went to a bank owned company that makes billions of people like my dad.

There's no call centre here. No account manager who quits in six months and leaves you re-explaining your business to a stranger. When you sign with Dough you get my cell phone, and when something goes sideways on a Friday afternoon you text me and I fix it.

I'd rather show you honest math and lose the deal than win it on a rate that quietly climbs. That's not a values statement for a website — it's just how you build something that lasts around here.

What that looks like in real dollars.

$1,100/mo

Ontario shop doing $130K/month

Came off a big-bank processor, moved to dual pricing with Dough. That's over $13,000 a year that used to leave the business for nothing.

$400/mo

Ontario shop doing $60K/month

Switched from a legacy processor. Same customers, same terminal experience, $4,800 a year back in the owner's pocket.

31%

Average savings across our merchants

Not a best case we cherry-picked. That's the average of what businesses stopped paying after moving to Dough.

The questions you'd ask if we were standing in your shop.

What's the catch?

There isn't a clever one. We make a margin on your processing — that's the whole business model for us and all of the other processing companies. The website, the social posts and the review program cost us money up front, and we're fine with that because a merchant who's making more money doesn't go shopping for a new processor. They also tell their business friends about us and we get to help more small business owners grow. Long, transparent and value added relationships are how we win.

Am I locked into a contract?

You choose. We offer month-to-month, no upfront cost plans and we offer a four-year lease to own term. We'll lay out all of them, tell you which one makes sense for your situation, and you pick. What we won't do is bury a term you didn't know you agreed to.

So there are genuinely no fees at all?

Not true — and anybody who tells you that is doing the exact thing you hate. There's a standard PCI compliance fee and monthly admin fee, and depending on your setup there may be others. Every one of them will be on the quote in front of you before you sign anything. The difference isn't that we have no fees. It's that you'll know all of them on day one instead of month seven and our rates are still 30-50% (sometimes more) lower than you're paying now.

How do I check if I'm overpaying right now?

Take your last statement. Divide total fees by total volume processed. That's your effective rate. If it's north of 2% and you're a low-risk business, you're leaving money on the table. Send us the statement and we'll do it for you, for free, with no obligation and no follow-up campaign.

How long does switching actually take?

Application to approved is usually a couple of days. Your terminal ships pre-programmed and ready — plug it in, take a test transaction, done. Most owners tell us the switch was less disruptive than they'd braced for.

What kind of businesses do you work with?

Blue-collar home services, auto and repair shops, retail, salons and spas, professional services, restaurants, pet groomers and everything else (minus high risk industries). Canada-wide. If you take cards and you're not sure whether you fit, ask! We'll tell you straight if you're better off staying where you are.

I'm on Square/My Banks processing and I like it. Why move?

Totally fair! But they are massive companies that have a lot of shareholders to pay back. We can often keep the same hardware and the same day-to-day experience at a materially lower cost, and if we can't, we'll say so. Nobody here is going to argue you into a processor switch that doesn't pay.
